Men's Golf Improves Again on Saturday
KANSASVILLE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team improved 14 strokes on Saturday from the opening round. The Falcons recorded a Saturday round of 317 strokes to finish in 40th place at 648 strokes. Carthage rallied to claim the title in the 44-team field at 566 strokes.
Senior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) led the flock in 171st place at 160 strokes. He improved two strokes from Friday with 79 on Saturday.
Senior Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) dropped four strokes on Saturday with a round of 79 to finish in 182nd place at 162 strokes.
Freshman Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) and freshman Dylan Smith (Amherst, Wis.) finished tied for 163 strokes. Baldus improved by three strokes with an 80 on the score card and Smith sliced away five strokes at 79 on Saturday.
Senior Garrett McArthur (London, Ont.) had the biggest drop on Saturday with a round of 90 to finish in 238th place at 189 strokes.
The Falcons have one last tune-up before the NACC Championships on Oct. 1 at the Wisconsin-Stout Fall Invitational.
