Falcons Jump Lakeland at Wisconsin-Stout

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team jumped one spot to finish the Wisconsin-Stout Fall Invitational on Monday. The Falcons finished in 21st place with 655 strokes over the two-day tournament. CUW dropped 13 strokes from Sunday with a round of 321 strokes on Monday. The Spartans of Aurora won the 22-team competition at 575 strokes and Carter Ruegsegger of Dubuque was the individual medalist at 134 strokes.

Junior Trevor Wotring (Johnsburg, Ill.) led the Falcons in 98th place with a two-stroke improvement from Sunday at 79 strokes for a two-day total of 160 strokes.

Sophomore Isaac Seidel (Wausau, Wis.) and freshman Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) finished tied for 109th place at 165 strokes. Seidel dropped five strokes from Sunday at 80 strokes on Monday and Baldus improved seven strokes on Monday with a round of 79.

Senior Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) brought in a round of 83 on Monday after an 88-stroke round on Sunday in 116th place at 171 strokes.

In 121st place was senior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) at 176 strokes after recording 94 strokes on Monday.

Freshman Tyler Klett (Paw Paw, Mich.) had the biggest improvement for Concordia with an eight-stroke improvement at 85 strokes on Monday to finish in 122nd place at 178 strokes.

The Falcons return to action on Oct. 13 at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships in Kohler, Wisconsin.
