Falcons Finish Round One at Blackwolf Run
KOHLER, Wis. - The CUW men's golf team competed in the first of four rounds for the NACC Championship at Blackwolf Run.
The Falcons finished in eighth place with a total of 339 strokes. Aurora leads the tournament with an astonishing 280 strokes.
Freshman Francisco Ascenio Beltra (Ibi, Spain) leads the Blue and White with 83 strokes.
Sitting right behind him with 84 strokes for round one was sophomore Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.).
Junior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) sat just behind Murgas-Bennett with 85 strokes.
Freshman Cole Shane (Park Ridge, Ill.) came into the clubhouse with 87 total strokes while freshman Jason Michalski (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.) rounded out the birds with 94 strokes.
The Falcons eye the Eagles in seventh place and look to move ahead in the standings in round one on Monday morning.
