CUW Wraps Up First Round of NACC Championships

KOHLER, Wis. – In the opening round of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Championships, the Concordia University Wisconsin men's golf team posted a score of 351 strokes, finishing in ninth place.

St. Norbert and Aurora are tied for the lead after the first 18 holes, both recording a team score of 304.

Junior Trevor Wotring (Johnsburg, Ill.) led the Falcons with a first-round score of 84, capped off by a birdie on the final hole of the front nine. He currently sits in 27th place.

Following Wotring, freshman Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) shot an 86, placing him in 33rd. Senior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) contributed with a score of 88, securing third-best for the Blue and White.

Freshman Dylan Smith (Amherst, Wis.) also scored for the Falcons with a round of 93. Meanwhile, sophomore Isaac Seidel (Wausau, Wis.) finished with a score of 96, and freshman Tyler Klett (Paw Paw, Mich.) rounded out the team with a score of 99.

CUW will return to the links tomorrow, aiming to climb the leaderboard in round two of the NACC Championships, with tee-off set for 10 a.m.
