Men's Golf competes at Tim Kopka Memorial Tournament

WEST DUNDEE, Ill. – Concordia University Wisconsin sent a pair of teams to the Tim Kopka Memorial Tournament, hosted by Carthage College, and finished in 13th and 16th, respectively, at the par 71, 6,600 yard Randall Oaks Country Club.

Junior Chris Payne (Waukesha, Wis.) led all Falcon golfers with a 48th place finish after shooting an 18-over-par 160 total (82-77). CUW's team that finished in 13th shot a 653 total (336-317), while its second team placed 16th with a 698 total (360-338).

Riley Bauman (Carthage College) won individual medalist honors after carding a 2-under-par 140 total (71-69). He was the only player under par, as Brad Hyland (Carthage College) took second with a 145 total (75-70).

Carthage College had two teams in the tournament and both took the top two spots. Its first team shot a 579 team score (299-280), while its second team finished with a 605 total (304-301).

Freshman Evan Rabas (Sherwood, Wis.) and sophomore Elijah Glasenapp (Milwaukee, Wis.) also carded a sub-80 in the second round with a 77 and 78, respectively.
