Payne leads CUW men's golfers at WLC Invite

HARTFORD, Wis.  Concordia Wisconsin's Chris Payne (So./ Waukesha, Wis.) posted the best Falcon score of the golf season to date with a 75 in round two of the WLC Invitational Monday.  Payne led CUW with a two round total of 155.

The Falcons, however, finished 9th of 10 competing schools and 51 strokes behind first place Carthage.

Other CUW scores included senior Eric Hertel's (Franklin, Wis.) who shot 80/ 84, freshman Elijah Glasenapp's (Milwaukee, Wis.) 168 36 hole total on rounds of 83 and 85, and freshman Jason Meyer's (Dunlap, Ill.) rounds of 87 and 88.

Marian finished just behind Carthage while NAC schools WLC, Aurora, and Lakeland were third, sixth, and eighth respectively.  MSOE finished last among schools with complete teams.
