Falcon men's golf competes at Marian Invite

FOND DU LAC, Wis.  Eric Hertel (Sr./ Franklin, Wis.) and teammmate Chris Payne (So./ Waukesha, Wis.) paced Concordia Wisconsin with two round scores of 169 at the Marian Invitational held at the Whispering Springs Golf Course in Fond du lac Sunday and Monday.  

Hertel improved to a second day 82 after a disappointing 87 on the first day.  Payne was in the top 20 after day 1 with his 83 but only managed an 86 for his second round.

Falcon Jason Meyer (Fr./ Dunlap, Ill.) was at 172, but CUW's final counting score was a 193, dropping the Falcons several spots in the standings. 

"We knew going in that we were without our number one golfer for this meet.  I believe we will be more competitive in terms of team scores by the time the conference tournament rolls around," said Coach Ray Engelking.
