Men’s Basketball is honored with the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the ninth annual Team Academic Excellence Awards, created by the NABC Committee on Academics. These awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2020-21 season.

To earn an NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in the NCAA, NAIA and two-year colleges must count the grade point averages of all men's student-athletes on the basketball roster during the 2020-21 season.

The Falcons are claiming the honor for the sixth-straight season.

On Tuesday, CUW had 10 student-athletes named to the NABC Honors Court. Just one short of the most in the nation.
