Annual Holiday Shootout will be held at CUW
Mequon
Due to some rule changes by the NCAA, The Wisconsin Basketball
Yearbook Shootout has moved from the Al McGuire Center on the
campus of Marquette University to the R. John Buuck Field House at
Concordia University in Mequon this December.
In addition to a new location, the sixth annual event will add an
entire day of competition and feature 30 teams and 26 games from
December 27-28-29.
Whitefish Bay Dominican will again serve as the host school for the
WBY Shootout, which enters its sixth year of existence this
December.
Many of the top teams and top players from Wisconsin are scheduled
to take part in the WBY Shootout.
Marquee matchups include defending WIAA Division 1 state champion
Arrowhead taking on both Germantown and Wauwatosa East.
Bowman Academy of Gary, Indiana, which won the Indiana Class A
state title last March, will take on Menomonee Falls and class of
2012 prospect J.P. Tokoto at 7 p.m. on Dec. 28 before meeting
Milwaukee Hamilton and its collection of outstanding seniors at 7
p.m. on Dec. 29.
Bowman Academy returns three starters from its state championship
team, including 6-foot-5 class of 2012 prospect DeJuan Marerro.
