
Damaschke named NAC Offensive Player of the Week after career game
WAUKESHA, Wis. – Quarterback Austin Damaschke had a career day on Saturday throwing five touchdown passes and running for a score, which earned him Northern Athletics Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday night.
The sophomore gunslinger converted 26-of-37 passes for a career-best 390 yards, including a career-long 85-yarder, which was also a touchdown pass. The Bristol, Wis., native rushed for a team-best 31 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown.
His six-touchdown performance is tied for the most touchdowns one NAC player has accounted for in a game this season. The accolade is the fourth weekly award for the Falcons this season.
CUW (6-3, 5-1 NAC) concludes its regular on Saturday at 12 p.m. against Wisconsin Lutheran College (7-2, 5-1 NAC) at 12 p.m. at Tomasini Stadium. The two teams will play for the Luther Cup.
