A look back at 2020: October
MEQUON, Wis. – This week, we will be finishing our look back at 2020. Through all of the ups and downs, there has been a lot to cheer about in 2020 at CUW. We continue our series today with October.
Broadcasts were back on the Falcon Athletic Network for the first time since March in a handful of Blue vs. White contests with the field hockey, men's lacrosse, women's soccer and women's volleyball programs.
The cross country programs opened the month with a combined first-place finish at the WLC Warrior Invitational on Oct. 3. The Falcons then closed the semester at the Concordia Wisconsin Invitational on Oct. 10.
The CUW baseball team played four fall ball games against MSOE.
The softball program also competed in fall ball play against MSOE and Wisconsin Lutheran.
The CUW men's golf team competed at the MSOE Invitational on Oct. 5 and brought home the title at 630 strokes.
The women's golf team competed in three tournaments to close the fall season.
The NCAA men's hockey team opened the year with an exhibition against the U.S. U-18 National Development Team in Michigan.
The ACHA men's hockey team scared Adrian on Holloween with a 5-2 victory in the season opener.
On Oct. 16, the SAA announced its plan for the field hockey season.
