A look back at 2020: September
MEQUON, Wis. – Over the next few weeks, we will be taking a look back at 2020. Through all of the ups and downs, there has been a lot to cheer about in 2020 at CUW. We continue our series today with September.
September marked the first month of athletic competitions since March.
The men's golf team competed in three competitions in September and tallied three second-place finishes. Jordan Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) broke the school record with a round of 67 on Sept. 19 at the WLC Invitational.
The cross country programs started the competitions with a pair of second-place finishes at the at the virtual Regents Relay on Sept. 15. Tim Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) and Richard Schaefer (Racine, Wis.) won the virtual men's race at 30:22.
The women's golf team opened the year on Sept. 18 against Wisconsin Lutheran.
The esports program also started its season up with competitions in League of Legends, Rocket League, Fortnite, Hearthstone and Super Smash Bros.
The NACC announced its orginal plan for the 2020-21 academic year on Sept. 1. Also on the first, CUW added Aaron Siekmann to the staff as the Director of Human Performance and Nicole Farr Kramer as the assistant coach of the cross country and track & field programs.
