A look back at 2020: April
MEQUON, Wis. – Over the next few weeks, we will be taking a look back at 2020. Through all of the ups and downs, there has been a lot to cheer about in 2020 at CUW. We continue our series today with April.
In a month that is usually filled with competitions, April was quiet this year.
The esports program continued to compete in Rocket League, Brawlhalla and Fortnite.
Jeff Ligney was named the new commissioner of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on April 15.
On April 1, the CUW men's lacrosse program announced its All-Decade Team.
CUW Athletics partnered with the Highland House to support local first responders and healthcare workers.
CUW once again celebrated D3 Week with the NCAA, doing so remotely in 2020.
Megan Schmitz was named the Department of Athletic Communications Student of the Year on April 9.
