A look back at 2020: May
MEQUON, Wis. – Over the next few weeks, we will be taking a look back at 2020. Through all of the ups and downs, there has been a lot to cheer about in 2020 at CUW. We continue our series today with May.
The awards started to trickle in for the Falcons in May.
The CUW women finished in second place in the NACC All-Sports standings with the CUW men finishing in fourth place.
Kathryn Schultz (Fredonia, Wis.) of the women's track & field team won the Walter W. Stuenklel Award from the university.
The Walter W. Stuenkel Award was established by Mr. E. R. Brann in honor of a former president of Concordia for an undergraduate or graduate student who is outstanding in academics and co-curricular activities.
Three student-athletes were awarded for their amazing careers at CUW.
Sam Dunn (Hartland, Wis.) of the CUW field hockey and women's lacrosse team and Molly O'Connell (New London, Wis.) won the Female Career Achievement Award.
Sam Schlosser (West Bend, Wis.) of the CUW men's golf team was named the CUW Male Career Achievement Award winner.
The esports team also raised money for the Saukville Community Food Bank.
