A look back at 2020: August
MEQUON, Wis. – Over the next few weeks, we will be taking a look back at 2020. Through all of the ups and downs, there has been a lot to cheer about in 2020 at CUW. We continue our series today with August.
There was hope in the air with a new school year.
The CUW men's hockey team had four players honored at Krampade/AHCA Academic All-Stars in Erik Schuette (Olathe, Kan.), Cole Pickup (Victoria, B.C.), Dakota Delbridge (Tracy, Calif.) and Nick Guiney (Victoria, B.C.).
Both tennis teams opened the month by receiving ITA academic honors on Aug. 4.
The esports team opened the year with a GGLeague of Legends title on Aug. 17
On Aug. 5, the fall women's collegiate triathlon season was canceled.
The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association altered the schedule for the men's and women's NCAA hockey teams on Aug. 6.
A Concordia tradition was put on hold when CIT was canceled for 2021.
