Free-position notes: Women's Lacrosse hosts Augsburg on Friday at 4 pm

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin hosts Augsburg on Friday at 4 pm in the final MWLC game on the schedule. The Falcons have clinched the No. 1 seed in the MWLC Tournament, while the Auggies are still jockeying for a seed.

- TOP DOG:
Concordia Wisconsin has clinched the top seed for the third-consecutive year and will host the MWLC Tournament on Friday-Saturday (May 5-6) at Fitting Field. Meanwhile, Augsburg is playing for the third or fourth seed in the tournament.
- KUREK'S VALUE: Allison Kurek has proven to be a valuable piece to the Falcons puzzle during her career. The junior leads the team in ground balls (53), draw controls (56) and caused turnovers (40) this year. She is also third in points (37) and goals (25) and second in assists (12). The Chicago, Ill., native is top-5 in every major statistical category in program history.
- LONGEST IN THE NATION: Concordia Wisconsin's 22-game home winning streak is currently the longest in the nation. More so, their current eight-game winning streak is tied for the 14th best.
- TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS: To prove how good Concordia Wisconsin has been this season, understand that they have the 52nd most difficult path in regards to the strength of schedule, according to the NCAA. Their opponents have won 57.6 percent of games played and the Falcons still have an 11-4 record.
- LAST TIME THEY MET: CUW and Augsburg battled it out during a season-opening MWLC matchup in 2016 that saw the Falcons win 9-8 at Fitting Field. The hosts scored three-straight goals during a 2:23 span late in the second half to overcome a two-goal deficit. CUW had three players with two or more goals and was led by Lauren Paquin's hat trick, while Augsburg was paced by Sheala Osborne's trio of scores.
