Henry has career game, Falcons win another MWLC game

MONMOUTH, Ill. – Caitlin Henry had a career-high seven points, including five goals, and Concordia Wisconsin didn't have much trouble with first-year Monmouth on Sunday afternoon during a 14-2 MWLC victory at Zorn Stadium. The Falcons defense held their fourth league opponent to under three goals and won by 10-plus markers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams traded goals to start the game and then junior Caitlin Henry (Lansing, Ill.) took over the Concordia Wisconsin offense with four first-half goals as the visitors exploded for 10 goals in a row during an 18-minute stretch.
- Henry added another goal in the second half before assisting on consecutive Allison Kurek goals in the final portion of the game. The midfielder's career-high seven-point effort was one point shy of cracking the top-10 for a game in program history.
- Kurek (junior, Chicago, Ill.) recorded a hat trick in the victory, while sophomore Christina Pattengale (Portage, Mich.) scored twice. Sophomore Lauren Paquin (Waukesha, Wis.) and freshman Nicole DeMeo (Niles, Ill.) each had a goal and assist.
- Senior Veronika Metanova (Palatine, Ill.) ended the victory with 10 saves.
- Concordia Wisconsin ended with a 30-14 advantage in shots, won 13-of-17 draw controls and limited Monmouth to just 12-of-24 on clear attempts.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons have now scored their four MWLC opponents by a 65-8 difference and hold a 98-45 lead in shots on goal. Henry has 17 points (14 goals), while Pattengale has 10 goals in those four games.

THE OPPOSITION
- Kara-Jade Gordon and Ashley Castellanos each scored a goal for the Scots.
- Elizabeth Reasoner made five saves during a complete game effort in goal.
