Woodman earns MWLC Defensive Player of the Week honors
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin defender Ellie Woodman was named Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Woodman (Janesville, Wis.) helped the Falcons win a pair of league games this past week to stay near the top of the standings. The sophomore had a career-high five caused turnovers, to go along with five ground balls in a weather-ridden road win at Aurora. Woodman then recorded four caused turnovers and a career-best nine ground balls during a crucial home victory against Hamline.
The conference award is the first of her career.
