Metanova tabbed with MWLC Defensive Player of the Week honors
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin goalkeeper Veronika Metanova was named Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Metanova (Palatine, Illinois) had a pair of stellar performances during the Falcons two league victories, during a three-game week. The senior twice had double-digit save totals, including a 13 save performance at Illinois Wesleyan and 10 saves at Monmouth. She also tallied eight saves in a win at Cornell College.
The conference award is the first of her career.
