Scharmer scores 25 in Women’s Basketball victory

AURORA, Ill. – Audrey Scharmer continues to impress during her final collegiate season and Wednesday night was no different, with another double-double – 25 points and 10 rebounds – to lead Concordia Wisconsin to a 62-54 victory at Aurora during NACC action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Audrey Scharmer was strong in the second half, scoring 22 of her career-high-tying 25 points, while scoring the Falcons final seven points to hold off the Spartans. Concordia Wisconsin held an 11-point advantage with 6:14 to play in the game prior to Aurora hitting back-to-back 3-pointers to make things interesting.
- The senior forward rose to the occasion with a jumper in the paint, a 3-pointer from the left wing and another bucket around the hoop to push her team back in front and eventually walk away with a much-needed NACC victory.
- Despite the game being close, the Falcons led for 34 minutes and 39 seconds in the road contest.
- Freshman Clara Chambers (Mineral Point, Wis.) added 11 points, while junior Baylee Barker (Oconomowoc, Wis.) had seven points, four rebounds and four assists.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Scharmer now has nine double-doubles this season, including four in the last six games.
- Concordia Wisconsin is now 17-2 against Aurora since the 2006-07 season.

THE OPPOSITION
- Julie Galauner led the Spartans with 18 points, while Meija Rabi netted 12 points. Adriana Ramirez ended with nine points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
