Around the arc: Falcons look to dim Stars in NACC contest

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin is looking for its fourth-straight win on Saturday when Dominican enters the R. John Buuck Field House for a 415 pm NACC tipoff.

NEWSWORTHY NOTES
• IN A GROOVE:
Concordia Wisconsin has found its groove over the past three games, increasing the winning margin each contest. During wins this season, the Falcons are scoring 73.0 points and pulling down 41.5 rebounds. Meanwhile, in losses they are scoring  64.0 points and grabbing just 28.5 rebounds.
• FREE THROWS A PLENTY: Concordia Wisconsin is the top-ranked free throw shooting team in the NACC (72.8 percent and 99 made) and three of its players rank 1-3. Audrey Scharmer and Brianna Wagner are tied for first with 21 free throws made, while Baylee Barker has sunk 19 at the charity stripe.
• BATTLE ON THE BOARDS: An area to watch on Saturday will be the rebounding of each team. Dominican enters as the NACC leader with 19.3 offensive rebounds and a 9.3 rebounding margin, while Concordia Wisconsin is eighth in rebounding and has a -1.0 rebounding margin.
• DIMMING THE STARS: It's safe to say the Falcons have controlled the series against the Stars, winning 18-consecutive games. During that stretch, they have outscored them by an average of 24.4 points per victory. In addition, at least 11 players have scored in four of the past six meetings.
• SCOUTING DOMINICAN: The Stars enter with a balanced offensive attack, as seven players are scoring six points or more. Timiya Ray leads the team at 14.0 points and 10.7 rebounds per outing, and is one of two players in the NACC averaging a double-double per game. Alisha Markley is adding 12.7 each game, while Katie Uzoras leads the NACC with 31 offensive rebounds. She is second in the league, behind Ray in total rebounds with 62.
