THE BASICS
- Final Score:
Concordia Wisconsin 79, SUNY Poly 68
- Location: Centennial Hills Rec – Las Vegas
- Records: CUW 7-2; SUNY Poly 5-4

QUOTING STACEY BRUNNER-JONES
" It was good for us to win a game like that and we did a good job closing it out at the end. Our guard play contributed a lot today to go along with Brianna and Audrey. These tournaments are fun if we can continue to bond as a team and continue to get smarter on the court."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons dominated the first quarter, doubling up on the Wildcats with a 26-13 lead after 10 minutes of play. The starting five scored all 26 points in the opening quarter, led by Scharmer (Winona, Minn.) who poured in eight with four rebounds. Baylee Barker (Oconomowoc, Wis.) and Clara Chambers (Darlington, Wis.) each added six in the first quarter.

- The Wildcats cut the Falcons lead to five at one point in the second quarter, but CUW closed strong to take an eight-point lead into the half. CUW never trailed in the game, which included holding a double-digit lead for much of the fourth quarter.

- The Falcons did a good job of getting to the free throw line Tuesday, attempting 25 compared to 11 for the Wildcats. The Falcons connected on 76 percent (19-for-25) from the line, Wagner leading the way with an 8-for-11 performance.

- Wagner finished the game with a career-best 27 points, while Scharmer added 16. Both players pulled down 10 rebounds as CUW held a 39-31 edge on the boards. Barker added 13 points and a team-best five assists while Ariana Liddicoat (Watertown, Wis.) chipped in 11 points off the bench.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Wagner and Scharmer finishing with double-doubles marked the first time two Falcons posted a double-double in the same game since last season. Wagner and Taylor DeLong each accomplished the feat on December 7 of last season at Lakeland.

THE OPPOSITION
- Kiersten Leos scored 26 points to pace the Wildcats while Khristaijah Jackson added 14.

UP NEXT
- The Falcons will take on Adrian tomorrow at 2 p.m. pacific time (noon central).
