ST LOUIS – The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Tennis team won its fourth straight match Friday, rolling to an 8-1 win over Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in non-conference action. The Falcons won all three doubles matches and five of six in singles play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons dominated doubles play, picking up three decisive wins. The No. 2 duo of freshman Christian Docter (Madison, Wis.) and sophomore Ceejay Schaffner (Winona, Minn.) rolled to an 8-1 win to pace the Falcons in doubles play.

- CUW also gained 8-3 wins at the No. 1 and 3 doubles positions, respectively. The top duo of senior Benjamin Nommensen (Waupaca, Wis.) and sophomore Brad Guendel (Greendale, Wis.) and No. 3 team of junior Trevor Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and freshman Jonah Fowle (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) each netted 8-3 wins.

- The Falcons would go on to win five of six in singles play for the easy 8-1 victory. Senior Robert Spiering (Wauwatosa, Wis.) was the most dominant in singles play, gaining a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles.

- Budewitz picked up a 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles for the Falcons, while Fowle posted a 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 5 singles. The win for Fowle was also the first collegiate singles match for the freshman.

- The other two CUW players to net wins in singles play were Docter (No. 1) and junior Jonathan Schotte (Preston, Kan.) at the No. 6 singles spot. Docter won 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 in a hard-fought match, while Schotte posted a 6-3, 6-4 victory.

- CUW will take on Greenville tomorrow in St. Louis. The match is set for an 11 a.m. start.
