Women's Volleyball Sweeps NACC Weekly Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its weekly Student-Athlete of the Week honors for women's volleyball on Tuesday morning. The Falcons claimed both honors this week, with Maycee Karpfinger claiming the offensive honor and Abby Proefrock earning the defensive honor.

A senior middle blocker from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Maycee Karpfinger is securing the honor for the first time this season and the third time in her career.

Karpfinger averaged 4.63 points per set and 3.80 kills per set this week. She started the week with 16 kills and four blocks in a four-set victory against Lakeland. Karpfinger also feasted at the Calvin Invitational with 12 kills and six blocks against Platteville. Against Albion, she had 18 kills, two service aces and 13 digs.

A sophomore defensive specialist from Grafton, Wisconsin, Abby Proefrock is claiming the honor for the first time this year and for the second time in her career.

Proefrock feasted in the back row with 69 digs and nine service aces. She led the way with four service aces against Earlham and 22 digs against Albion.

The Falcons return to action on Thursday at Marian.
