Falcons end season in NCAA Tournament

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Concordia Wisconsin ended the most successful season in program history on Thursday with a 3-1 (23-25, 16-25, 25-14, 20-25) loss to No. 17 Carthage in the first round of the NCAA Tournament inside the Shirk Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin's offense didn't perform well from the start and couldn't regroup until the third set, which was the only set they took in the match. The defense performed well at times and ended with 10.5 total team blocks.
- The match was close, as there were 20 scoring ties and eight lead changes, as each team had its ups and downs in the second and third sets of the match. The Falcons build a match-high 10 point advantage in the third set, while the Lady Reds had a nine-point lead in the second frame.
- Concordia Wisconsin ended with a .127 attack percentage and 10.5 total team blocks, while No. 17 Carthage hit .194 and posted 7.0 total team blocks.
- Senior Lauren Nevinski (New Berlin, Wis.) and junior Holly Anderson (Grant Park, Ill.) each had 11 kills. Nevinski also had five block assists. Junior Mackenzie Wockenfus (Appleton, Wis.) recorded a double-double with 19 assists and 16 digs. Sophomore Kendall Stribling (Greenfield, Wis.) and Anderson also had five block assists each.
- Junior Haley Sedo (Neenah, Wis.) ended with 19 assists and eight digs, while senior Lindsey Casper (Hubertus, Wis.) recorded 25 digs.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons ended with a program-record 28 victories. Over the past two seasons, they compiled a 51-11 overall record, including a 22-0 record in NACC play.
- Nevinski ends her career as the program and NACC all-time record holder with 340 block assists.
- Casper recorded 1,368 digs during her three-year career, which ranks seventh all-time in program history.
- Senior Kaily (Moegenburg) Erdman (Plymouth, Wis.) ended her historic career with 996 kills, 1,007 digs and 108 service aces.

THE OPPOSITION
- Shannon Kebisek led all players with 21 kills, while Megan Behrendt had 14 kills and 17 digs.
- Ellie LeCount posted 44 assists and 12 digs, while Luci Krenzke recorded 20 digs.
