Experienced gained in Women’s Volleyball victory

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin overwhelmed Rockford from the first serve during a 3-0 (25-10, 25-8, 25-16) victory, which allowed numerous underclassmen playing time to gain valuable experience inside the R. John Buuck Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons began with a quick 9-2 scoring run to begin the game and added a 9-1 scoring run later in the opening set to fly past the Regents in a NACC matchup. They took the first set 25-10.
- The second set wasn't any different, as they went ahead 7-1, 14-2 and 19-3 before winning 25-8 to take complete control of the match. Concordia Wisconsin was able to play numerous underclassmen in the second and third sets, which is important for experience as they progress in their careers.
- The Falcons hit .395 (38K-6E-81A) in the match, which was slightly less than the season-high of .396 set at Marian on September 20.
- Sophomore Megan Mayer (Downers Grove, Ill.) led all players with 12 kills and hit .409, while sophomore Kendall Stribling (Greenfield, Wis.) added a career-best 10 kills and an eye-popping .833 attack percentage.
- Freshman Cristina Stinson (Aurora, Ill.) recorded a match-high-tying 10 assists, along with junior Haley Sedo (Neenah, Wis.).
- Sedo served a trio of aces and Stinson dialed in two service aces.
- Senior Lindsey Casper (Hubertus, Wis.) ended with 11 digs, while three of her teammates had two block assists.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons won by a 3-0 score for the 17th time this season.
- Mayer's .409 attack percentage was a career high and the best by a Falcon this season.
- Concordia Wisconsin's .395 attack percentage is the seventh best in a match in program history.

THE OPPOSITION
- Emily Johannes had nine kills for the Regents and Kayla Barthels assisted on 15 points.
- Jessica Diaz and Johannes each had seven digs.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin will have off until Friday when they travel to Dominican for a 7 pm NACC contest.
