QUOTING SETTER HALEY SEDO

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons had to play well on every point against a scrappy Muskie team, who would dig and attack balls when needed at crucial times. The hosts walked away with an important league victory during the NACC opener to gain positive momentum going forward.
- Both squads hit the ball exceptionally well in the opening frame – both over .200 – but it was Concordia Wisconsin who used a 12-7 scoring run down the stretch to win the opening set, 25-20.
- As the Falcons have done at times this season, head coach Janelle Katz has asked her team to figure it out during difficult times on the court. After Lakeland score four-consecutive points to go ahead 16-15 midway through the second stanze, she neglected to take a timeout and allow play to continue. Those difficult times is what makes a team come together and it showed as her team clawed out a 25-22 set win.
- Lakeland performed its best in the third set, with a .200 hitting percentage compared to Concordia Wisconsin's .029, which was one of the reasons the visitors won by a 25-18 score to extend the contest further.
- The Falcons returned to form in the final set, as they posted a .182 hitting percentage and limited the Muskies to a -.054 percentage.
- Overall, sophomore Megan Mayer (Downers Grove, Ill.) had a season-high 12 kills, while five of her teammates had six kills or more.
- Junior Haley Sedo (Neenah, Wis.) assisted on a season-high-tying 22 assists and junior Mackenzie Wockenfus (Appleton, Wis.) dished out 17 assists of her own.
- Seniors Lindsey Casper (Hubertus, Wis.) and Kaily (Moegenburg) Erdman (Plymouth, Wis.) each had 15 digs to lead a strong defensive effort.
- Concordia Wisconsin's front line defense accumulated 10.0 total blocks and five players had two or more block assists.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons extended their winning streak to 18 matches when playing NACC regular season contests inside the R. John Buuck Field House.

THE OPPOSITION

- Defensively, Emma Bruder dug a team-high 14 attacks and Allison Errthum dug 13 attack attempts.
- The Muskies served seven aces, with Bubolz and Bruder each serving two.
