Jehlicka named AVCA All-Midwest Region Freshman of the Year

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Concordia University Wisconsin's Ashley Jehlicka was named American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Midwest Region Freshman of the Year, the organization announced.

Jehlicka (Salem, Wis.) also earned Freshman of the Year, All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference First Team and All-NACC Freshman Team honors after posting a league-high eight triple doubles, to go along with 23 double-doubles. The rookie was first on the team with 276 kills, a .276 attack percentage and 469 assists. She was also third with 362 digs and 57 total blocks, and fourth 22 service aces.

The Falcons finished the season with a program record 24 victories and had 17 wins by sweep. They earned the No. 2 seed in the NACC Tournament after posting a 10-1 conference record.
