Wrestling drops dual against North Central

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin won the first two bouts of the dual meet on Thursday evening, but it wasn't enough as North Central College won, 25-15, inside the R. John Buuck Field House.

Sophomore Sean Ambrocio (San Antonio, Texas) opened the contest with a close 3-2 decision win at 125 pounds, but CUW (1-5) managed to win only four of the 10 bouts.

Senior Marcus Lubner (Fredonia, Wis.) highlighted the Falcons night with an impressive victory by fall over sixth-ranked Layten Binion at 133 pounds in four minutes and five seconds.

The Cardinals won the next three bouts before junior Casey Kenealy (Hartford, Wis.) downed his opponent by decision, 10-5, at 165 pounds. NCC then won three of the final four bouts to take the win. CUW's Jake Reuteler (junior, New Berlin, Wis.) picked up a decision victory, 7-5, at 197 pounds.

CUW next wrestles at the UW-Whitewater Rocky Rococo Border Brawl Duals on Saturday, Jan. 25 in Whitewater, Wis.
