Wrestling earns dual win at MSOE

MILWAUKEE – Concordia University Wisconsin began the 2014 calendar on the right foot with a 24-15 dual meet victory at MSOE on Thursday evening inside the Kern Center. The dual meet victory is the first of the season for the Falcons.

CUW (1-3) charged out to a commanding 21-0 lead after winning the first five bouts. The scoring run was highlighted by freshman Joshua Curcio (Granger, Ind.) who pinned his 149-pound opponent in two minutes and 50 seconds, while three other Falcons won by decision to go along with a forfeit victory.

The Raiders would cut their deficit to six points, 21-15, entering the 285-pound bout. The Falcons' senior Seth Kilkelly (Barneveld, Wis.) earned a 7-3 decision win to seal the teams triumph.

CUW returns to action on Friday with a dual meet at Cornell College at 2 p.m. Live video of the event is linked at CUWFalcons.com.
