Softball duo secures NFCA All-Region honors

MEQUON, Wis. – Two members of the CUW softball team were named to the NFCA NCAA Division III Great Lakes All-Region Team. Molly O'Connell was named to the All-Region Second Team and Jenna Pozezinski was named a member to the All-Region Third Team. This is the third time in program history that the Falcons have had multiple payers named to NFCA All-Region teams.

A junior from New London, Wisconsin, Molly O'Connell is claiming all-region honors for the second-straight season. O'Connell led CUW with 45 hits, 31 runs, 11 doubles and a .388 batting average. She also finished the year with six home runs, 21 runs batted in, and a .455 on base percentage. This year, she claimed a spot on the All-NACC First Team.

A sophomore from Lake Villa, Illinois, Jenna Pozezinski earned her first all-region accolade. An All-NACC First Team selection notched 40 hits, on four doubles, one triple and a team-high 10 home runs. She also led CUW with 39 runs batted in and a .691 slugging percentage.

CUW had three all-region selections in 2017 and two in 2013.
