Softball takes on NACC Tournament

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW softball team opens the NACC Tournament on Thursday evening at Aurora. The Falcons are one of six teams fighting for the automatic bid to the NACC Tournament for the Northern Collegiate Athletics Conference.

The Falcons are making their 10th tournament appearance and first since 2017.

The Blue and White have one title, that coming in the 2009 season.

Joining CUW this weekend will be MSOE, Aurora, Marian, Dominican and Wisconsin Lutheran.

CUW will take on the winner of the Dominican vs. Marian game.

The tournament is a double elimination format.

This is the first time in program history that CUW will be the top seed in the NACC Tournament.

The Falcons have made the NACC Tournament in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 and have an all-time record of 23-19.

Benedictine has the most tournament titles with seven but was ineligible to compete in the 2019 tournament. Aurora is the only other school with a title, with four.

The Falcons have two conference tournament titles. The Blue and White also won the 2006 Lake Michigan Conference Tournament.
