Men's Cross Country Opens the Year at the Tom Berry Invitational

GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's cross country team opened the 2023 season on Saturday morning. The Falcons finished in seventh place out of 11 teams with 194 points. Wisconsin–Green Bay of NCAA Division I won the team title at 31 points.

Senior Timmy Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) was the fastest Falcon on the day in fourth place at 19:26.84.

In 20th place was sophomore Preston Meier (Owatonna, Minn.) at 20:06.37.

Freshman Mason Everts (Saukville, Wis.) clocked in at 22:28.77 in 86th place.

A quartet of Falcons placed between 114th place and 117th place. Freshman Riley Johnson (Cedar Lake, Ind.) led the flock at 26:02.28, followed by senior Josh Peterson (Palatine, Ill.) at 26:04.45. The Klug brothers followed with junior Ryan Klug (Arlington, Va.) at 26:08.13 and freshman Aaron Klug (Arlington, Va.) at 26:43.90.

The Falcons resume action on Saturday at home at the Ken Weidt Classic.
