Herman Breaks Career-Kill Record in Loss at Benedictine

LISLE, Ill. – The CUW men's volleyball team headed down to Benedictine to take on the Eagles in their final regular-season matchup.

The Falcons eyed the second seed and a first-round bye with a victory.

The Eagles came out hot with a 25-19 set-one score.

That set saw a .385 hitting percentage from junior Spencer Herman (Kimberly, Wis.) with six kills.

The Blue and White snagged a 25-16 victory in set two. The Falcons were up 17-10 late in the set after a kill from Freshman Ben Kayser (Milwaukee, Wis.).

Herman finished off the set with yet another kill for 14 through the first two sets.

The Eagles finished off the match in four sets with 25-20 and 25-21 victories in the next two sets.

Herman finished with 25 kills breaking the program record for kills in a career that was set by James Althoff when he graduated after last season.

The Blue and White lay claim to the three seed in the 2023 NACC Tournament and will host the Stars of Dominican University on Tuesday night.
