The Falcons broke the first set open at the 11-11 mark. A 6-1 run pushed the lead up to 17-12 in the first set. The Green and Gold rallied to trim the Concordia lead to 19-18. A pair of kills from junior Spencer Herman (Kimberly, Wis.) and freshman Ben Kayser (Milwaukee, Wis.) gave the birds some breathing room. The Green Knights won the first four points of the second set and took an early 7-1 lead. The Falcons did not fold and continued to chip away at the lead. A service ace from Tate Miller tied the set at 14. With the set tied at 17, Ben Kayser notched a kill and the Falcons held onto the lead for the rest of the set.

The Green and Gold took another early lead in the third set at 6-2. The birds quickly flipped the script at tied the set at seven on an attacking error. Both teams continued to fight back and forth in the third set. Spencer Herman gave the Falcons the lead at 18-17 and they never gave it back. The Falcons ballooned the lead up to 23-19 with a kill from Spencer Herman. The Falcons clinched the match at 25-21 with a kill from Lucas Beres.

The Falcons were led by Ben Kayser with 14 kills, one more than Spencer Herman with 13. Herman also led the flock with three service aces and 10 digs.

Sophomore Logan Kebisek (Brookfield, Wis.) collected 32 assists in the victory and Lucas Beres had five blocks.

The Falcons close the regular season on Saturday at Benedictine. The match will play a key role in whether the Falcons will host a quarterfinals match on Tuesday or a semifinals match on Thursday.
