Falcons Run Well at Ripon
RIPON, Wis. – The CUW men's track & field team competed at the Ripon Red Hawk Invitational on Saturday. CUW placed fifth as a team with 39 points. The Titans of Wisconsin-Oshkosh won with 264 points.
Sophomore Mitchell Moeller (Cedarburg, Wis.) secured a second-place finish in the weight throw at 14.65 meters. He was also sixth in the shot put at 12.59 meters.
The Falcons earned the bronze medal in the 4x200-meter relay on Saturday at 1:38.11. In the 4x400 meter relay, CUW placed eight at 3:43.43.
Junior Colin Rerecich (Henderson, Nev.) finished fourth in the 600-meter run at 1:32.91.
Senior Seth Day (Sunset Hills, Mo.) reached 13.20 meters n the shot put to finish fourth.
Junior Tim Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) clocked in at 4:27.42 in the mile run in fifth place.
Senior Konnor Kingsmore (Colorado Springs, Colo.) claimed fifth place in the triple jump at 12.77 meters.
In the 60-meter dash, junior Robert Taylor (Miami, Fla.) placed 25th at 7.40.
Sophomore Bernie Van Den Heuvel (Valders, Wis.) finished third in the preliminary round of the 60-meter hurdles at 8.98.
Long jump saw senior Isaac Zahrt (Kronenwetter, Wis.) finish in 16th place at 5.85 meters.
In the 800-meter run, sophomore Hunter Moore (Howards Grove, Wis.) led the flock in 19th place at 2:22.82.
Junior Ryan Klug (Arlington, Va.) led the Concordians in the 400-meter dash at 59.33 in 26th place.
Freshman Nick Taylor (West Bend, Wis.) ran a time of 25.67 in the 200-meter dash in 35th place.
CUW competes again on Feb. 18 at Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
