Men’s Track & Field finishes fourth at Ripon

RIPON, Wis. – The CUW men posted a successful Saturday at the Ripon Red Hawk Invitational. The Falcons finished in fourth place out of 13 teams with 29.6 points. UW-Platteville won with 214.6 points.

Sophomore Christian Prohl (Downers Grove, Ill.) was the individual champion in the 400-meter dash at 52.31.

The team of senior Henry Jensen (Muskego, Wis.), Christian Prohl, junior Emmett Williams (Hartford, Wis.) and senior Samual Spranger (Fond du Lac, Wis.) finished in third place at 3:35.01 in the 4x400 meter relay.

In the 800-meter dash, Samual Spranger was in fifth place at 2:00.40.

Sophomore Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) finished with a fifth-place mark of 13.10 meters in the shot put on Saturday.

Freshman Samuel Heling (De Pere, Wis.) secured a seventh-place finish in the triple jump at 12.05 meters.

Junior Marquis Thorn (Atlanta, Ga.) led CUW in the 60-meter dash in seventh place at 7.46.

Sophomore Austin Lopez (Ripon, Wis.) cleared 1.76 meters in the high jump in seventh place.

The mile saw sophomore Jack Kral (Kohler, Wis.) clock in a time of 4:46.95 in eighth place.

Sophomore Josh Horst (Evansville, Ind.) was 12th in the long jump at 5.24 meters.

Junior Preus Hasselbrook (Missoula, Mont.) was the fastest Falcon in the 200-meter dash at 24.41 in 13th place.

Junior Brandon Hargis (Henderson, Nev.) recorded a mark of 12.50 meters in the weight throw for 13th place.

Henry Jensen represented CUW in the 60-meter hurdles in 16th place at 9.98.

The Falcons will compete on Saturday at the UW-Platteville Invitational.
