Men's Tennis Battled in 2023

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's tennis team battled in the 2023 season.

The Falcons finished with a 7-14 record and a 3-4 mark in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.

The birds opened the season with a 7-2 victory over Ripon.

CUW upset the Warriors of Wisconsin Lutheran in the NACC Tournament Quarterfinals with a 5-4 victory.

Sophomore Landon Sather secured the NACC Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week title on Feb. 12 and March 26.

Sather also secured the NACC Player of the Year title, Sather has posted a 30-14 record overall. He sports a 16-6 mark in singles, including 15-3 in duals and a perfect 7-0 in NACC play at No. 1 singles for the Falcons. Sather has partnered with Joshua Klement to earn All-NACC honors to post a 14-8 mark in doubles, including 13-6 in duals and 5-2 in the NACC - all at the No. 1 position. His 30 victories overall are the most by a NACC player this season.

This is the sixth time a Concordia Wisconsin student-athlete has been named NACC Men's Tennis Player of the Year, and the first since Logan Snyder captured the honor in 2021.

The Falcons soared in the classroom and were named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team for the sixth-straight season.

CUW also had six ITA Scholar-Athletes in Nathan Bilan, Isaac Bruins, Joshua Klement, Dylan Nadolski, Landon Sather and Jordan Wright.

The Falcons are excited to fly again in the 2023-24 season.
