Men's Tennis Opens 2023 Campaign

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's tennis team opens up the 2023 season on Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons return four members from the 2022 roster that advanced to the NACC Tournament Finals. CUW returns junior Nathan Bilan (Greendale, Wis.), junior Isaac Bruins (Oak Creek, Wis.), senior Joshua Klement (Muskego, Wis.), and sophomore Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.).

New to the team this year is freshman Dylan Nadolski (Menomonee Falls, Wis.), sophomore Benjamin Vorpahl (Sheboygan, Wis.) and freshman Jordan Wright.

CUW returns two All-NACC selections from 2022 in Landon Sather, who earned singles and double honors, and Joshua Klement, who earned doubles honors.

The Blue and White are coming off a 10-10 record in 2022 and a 6-1 mark in NACC play.

Steve Anschutz is in his ninth season as the head coach of the Falcons. He boasts a 100-69 record with the Falcons and has two NACC titles to his name on the men's side. He claimed his 100th victory in the NACC Tournament Semifinals in a 5-0 victory over MSOE.

CUW will travel south again this year and travel to South Carolina for Spring Break. The tournament schedule has not been released yet.

The Falcons have seven home contests on the schedule this year with matches against Ripon, Lawrence, Wisconsin-Superior, Wisconsin Lutheran, St. Norbert, MSOE and Concordia Chicago.

The Falcons look to be in the hunt for another NACC title this spring, they open NACC play on March 19 at home against Wisconsin Lutheran. The NACC Preseason Poll will be released later this week.

The Blue and White have competed twice in the fall as individuals at Carthage and at Gustavus Adolphus for the ITA Regionals and the Midwest Open.
