Falcons Falter in NACC Semifinals
CHICAGO – The Concordia Wisconsin men's tennis team traveled down to Illinois Tech on Thursday night in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Tennis Tournament Semifinals match. The top-seeded Scarlet Hawks advanced with a 5-0 victory.
The team of senior Joshua Klement (Muskego, Wis.) and sophomore Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) put up a valiant fight at No. 1 doubles, but fell in the tiebreaker, 7-3, to fall, 8-7.
The Scarlet Hawks secured a pair of 8-1 victories on courts two and three to lead 3-0 after doubles.
Illinois Tech claimed the victory with victories at No. 4 and No. 6 singles.
Landon Sather forced a third set at No. 1 singles after taking the second set from Alann Torres, 6-0.
The Falcons finish the season at 7-14.
The Scarlet Hawks will face MSOE on Sunday morning for the NACC Tournament title.
