Men's Tennis wins season opener over Carroll

JACKSON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin Men's Tennis won their season opener on Sunday with an 8-1 win over the Carroll Pioneers.

THE BASICS
-Final Score: Falcons 8, Pioneers 1
-Records: Falcons 1-0, Pioneers 0-1
-Order of Finish: Doubles (1,3,2), Singles (1,6,5,4,2,3)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The No. 1 doubles team of Nolan Rademacher (Monument, Colo.) and Logan Snyder (Franklin, Ind.) started things off with an 8-6 win for the Falcons.
- Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) and Nathan Raskin (Shorewood, Wis.) followed with an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
- The duo of Gabe Binversie (Plymouth, Wis.) and Cole Werning (Watertown, Wis.) wrapped up a doubles sweep for the Falcon with an 8-6 win at the No. 2 spot.
- CUW continued their success into the singles matches, winning five of six.
- Rademacher finished his match first with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1.
- Raskin earned the match-winning 5th point for the Falcons with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.
- Werning won No. 5 singles (6-3, 6-3), Peters won No. 4 (7-5, 6-1), and Binversie won No. 3 (2-6, 6-4, 11-9)
