Men's Tennis competes at ITA Midwest Regional

ST. PETER, Minn. – The Falcons competed in the ITA Midwest Regional this weekend. The regional is broken up into four brackets with Singles and Doubles Regional Championship brackets as well as Singles and Doubles Open Championship brackets.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the Regional Singles Championships, two Falcons advanced to the second round. Nolan Rademacher (Monument, Colo.) defeated Ethan St. John of Central and Cole Werning (Watertown, Wis.) took down Tou Ger Xiong of Hamline in their respective opening rounds.
- In the Regional Doubles Championships, the team of Rademacher and Logan Snyder (Franklin, Ind.) advanced to the second round with a win over the Macalester team of Karsten Knutsen and Anton Korolev.
- In the Open Singles Championships, three Falcons advanced. Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) advanced the farthest to the third round. The sophomore defeated Ryan Trupp of Caroll in the opening match before defeating Ario Detmer of Grinnell in the second round. Kyle Rehrauer (Oregon, Wis.) and Thomas Melius (Slinger, Wis.) each made it past the first round. Rehrauer took down Sam Fay of Carroll and Melius defeated Caleb Quemenoen of Northwestern-St. Paul.
- In the Open Doubles Championships, the team of Peters and Rehrauer advanced to the second round with a victory over Connor Pivnicka and Riley Collins of Loras.

UP NEXT
- The Falcons compete again when their regular-season starts in February. Their first match is against Carroll on Sunday, February 2, at 2pm.
