Men's Soccer lands three on NSCAA All-Region teams

KANSAS CITY – The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Soccer had three players earn NSCAA All-Central region honors, the association announced Thursday. In what was a banner year for the Falcons, the honors concluded Thursday with Gavin Falotico, Diego Campos and Keegan Van Dusseldorp gaining All-Region selections. Falotico and Campos were named to the Second Team, while Van Dusseldorp collected Third Team honors.

Falotico (Palatine, Ill.) had a remarkable rookie season with the Falcons. The NACC Freshman and Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Falotico anchored a defense that was incredibly difficult to score on. He helped the defense post 11 shutouts in 19 matches this season, including seven straight shutouts in the final seven games during the month of October.

Falotico added one goal and three assists this season for CUW. His ability as a defender, and also to help the offensive with his long throw-ins made him a valuable asset to the Falcons in his first season with the program.

Campos (Milwaukee, Wis.) had an impressive senior season, leading the Falcons with 14 assists. He finished the season incredibly strong with 11 of those assists over the team's final six matches. In that, was a four-assist performance against Rockford, which tied the program record for most assists in a match.

Campos was a four-time All-NACC selection, earning First Team honors twice in his career. He finished his four years with 35 career assists, while adding 10 goals.

Van Dusseldorp (Burlington, Wis.) was another important senior leader for the Falcons in 2015. He led the Falcons with 13 goals, which was also a career-high for the forward who scored 39 times in his four seasons.

Van Dusseldorp also gained First Team All-NACC honors for the second straight season and scored four game-winning goals for the Falcons. He finished the year with 34 points.

The Falcons were 15-3-1 in 2015, capturing their first Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular season title. CUW posted a 9-1-0 mark in conference play.
