HOW IT HAPPENED

- The Falcons put up five goals in the first half to put the match out of reach. Starting the scoring was senior Keegan Van Dusseldorp (Burlington, Wis.) just 31 seconds into play on a play started by goalkeeper Alec Brew (Appleton, Wis.), who was credited with an assist on the play.

- Junior Jordan Moehn (Fond du Lac, Wis.) made it 2-0 in the 11th on a rebound off an original shot from senior Diego Campos (Milwaukee, Wis.). The third Falcon score, which came in the 31st minute was off an own goal by Lakeland.

- Campos made the score 4-0 in the 39th minute, while sophomore Josiah Ochoa (Mundelein, Ill.) had the fifth goal in the 43rd minute. Campos' score was assisted by Ochoa, while sophomore Michael Benash (New Berlin, Wis.) had the helper on the Ochoa score.

- Junior Sean Cropper (Green Bay, Wis.) made the score 6-0 early in the second half as Campos picked up his second assist of the match. Campos would add another assist, along with Moehn, on the second score from Van Dusseldorp in the 61st minute. The Falcons final tally came in the 64th minute and was netted by freshman Juan Serna (Milwaukee, Wis.). Sophomore Luis Loya (Bolingbrook, Ill.) assisted on the Serna score.

- The Falcons defense posted their seventh straight shutout as CUW nearly did not allow a goal the entire month of October. The Falcons only goal given up in October came in the first match of the month and in the seventh minute.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

- Brew has now gone 653-plus minutes without allowing a goal as he and the Falcons defense have been impossible to score on.

- Campos had a strong finish to the regular season and finished with 13 assists, which ranks second in the NACC. The senior now has 34 helpers during his impressive career.

- The NACC title was the first for the Falcons, as the league started in the 2006 season. CUW also claimed six Lake Michigan Conference regular season titles under head coach Tom Saleska.

- The Falcon Women's team also won the NACC Title Wednesday, meaning CUW became the first school to sweep the soccer regular season titles in the same season.

UP NEXT

- CUW will have a first round bye in the NACC Tournament and will host a semifinal contest next Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Fitting Field. The Falcons opponent will be determined Saturday.
