CUW Men’s Soccer Wins Late
Watertown -
It wasn't easy, but in the end a win is a win.
Despite outshooting Maranatha 16-8, it wasn't until the 81st minute that Concordia was able to find the back of the net on Tuesday night in Watertown.
Freshman Jacob Pope notched his first collegiate goal off assists from freshman Jack Rathe, who recorded his second assist and fifth point on the season, and junior Victor Mendoza, which would prove to be the difference in the 1-0 victory.
Goalkeeper Samuel Ische made three saves while posting his fourth straight and sixth overall shutout this season, as the Falcons improved to 8-3-2 overall and 4-1-2 in the Conference.
Concordia returns to the pitch on Thursday, battling 13-0-1 UW-Oshkosh from Fitting Field at 4pm.
