Evan Leden Named NACC Defensive Player of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athlete of the Week honors on Wednesday morning. Evan Leden was voted as the NACC Defensive Player of the Week by the league's athletic communications professionals

A senior from Waukegan, Illinois, Evan Leden is claiming the honor for the first time in his career.

Leden joins Alex Loding and Adam Nichols as the only Falcons to claim the NACC defensive honor.

The Illinois native finished with 47 saves on the week.

Against Kalamazoo, he collected six ground balls 19 saves on 25 shots faced and did not allow a goal in the fourth quarter.

He then had 22 saves and five ground balls against Carthage.

Leden closed the week with six saves on seven shots against Beloit in the NACC opener.

Leden and the Falcons return to play on Wednesday at Edgewood.
