Men’s Lacrosse battles against Augustana

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's lacrosse team battled against another CCIW team on Saturday afternoon against Augustana. The Vikings sailed away with a 10-8 victory to send CUW to 2-4.

Augustana opened the game with a 3-0 run to start the first quarter.

Senior Connor Peterson (Calgary, Alta.) scored a pair of goals 82 seconds apart off assists from senior Ryan LeFebvre (Chicago, Ill.).

Ryan LeFebvre then tied the game with 41 seconds left in the quarter.

After two goals for Augustana, senior Donovan Harper (Yorba Linda, Calif.) found the back of the net.

Ryan LeFebvre snuck the ball past the Augustana keeper with nine seconds in the half to trim the deficit to 6-5 at halftime.

Senior Taitum Priewe (Janesville, Wis.) scored off a pass from Keijo Day to start the second-half scoring on Saturday.

Senior Keijo Day (Esko, Minn.) then scored with 3:36 left in the third quarter to tie the game heading into the fourth quarter.

The Vikings held a 3-1 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter to claim the victory. Keijo Day scored the lone Concordia goal.

Senior Alex Loding (Mundelein, Ill.) posted 24 saves in the net for CUW.

CUW opens NACC play on Wednesday at Marian.
