Men’s Lacrosse drops a Sunday morning contest

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's lacrosse team fell to 2-2 on the year with an 11-7 loss on Sunday morning.

The Falcons threw the first punch on Sunday with a goal 35 seconds into the game off the stick of Senior Donovan Harper.

After North Central tied the game, CUW took the lead after the first quarter with goals from senior Keijo Day and senior Taitum Priewe.

North Central blew the game open in the second quarter with six goals to take a 7-3 into halftime.

The Cardinals pushed the lead up to 8-3, before Donovan Harper scored on the man-up advantage.

The Red and White scored the next three goals of the game to take an 11-4 lead.

The Falcons did not fold and continued to fight in the fourth quarter.

Sophomore Jack Gromosky found the back of the net to begin the comeback.

Seven minutes later, Keijo Day snuck the ball past the North Central keeper.

With 43 seconds left, senior Connor Peterson scored the final goal of the game.

Senior Alex Loding clocked in 31 saves on Sunday morning.

The Falcons look to return to the win column on Wednesday night at Elmhurst.
