Men’s lacrosse names captains for 2021

MEQUON, Wis. – CUW head coach Michael Fahey has announced the captains for the upcoming men's lacrosse season. The four senior captains for the 2021 season are Keijo Day, Donovan Harper, Alex Loding and Connor Peterson.

A senior from Esko, Minnesota, Keijo Day is in his fourth year in the program and has played 42 games for CUW. He has 81 goals, 44 assists, 57 ground balls and has caused 20 turnovers. Day was a 2019 All-Midwest Lacrosse Conference Second Team selection in 2019 and a 2018 MLC Honorable Mention selection. This is the third season that Day has been named a captain for the Falcons.

A senior from Yorba Linda, California, Donovan Harper returns for his fourth year in the program. The California native has played in 42 games for the Blue and White and has 35 goals, 16 assists, 28 ground balls and seven caused turnovers to his name.

A senior from Mundelein, Illinois, Alex Loding enters his fourth year in the men's lacrosse program. He has appeared in 21 games as the goalkeeper. Loding collected four victories in the shortened 2020 season and set the program record with 25 saves in a single game against North Central.

A senior from Calgary, Alberta, Connor Peterson is in his third year in the CUW program. Peterson has 18 games under his belt and has tallied 19 goals, four assists, eight ground balls and four caused turnovers. The attackman is in his second season as a captain.

The CUW captains have carried a record of 32-12, two regular-season conference titles, one conference tournament title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

The Falcons are scheduled to open the season on February 13 at Hanover.
