Falcons handcuff Hanover

HANOVER, Ind. – The CUW men's lacrosse team remained unbeaten in the young 2021 season with an 11-7 victory over Hanover.

After trailing 0-1, CUW closed the first quarter with a pair of goals from senior Donovan Harper (Yorba Linda, Calif.) and sophomore Jack Gromosky (Danville, Ind.).

The Falls took a 5-2 lead into halftime with senior Keijo Day (Esko, Minn.), senior Connor Peterson (Calgary, Alta.) and Donovan Harper all finding the back of the net in the second quarter.

Jack Gromosky started the third-quarter scoring with a goal off a pass from senior Ryan LeFebvre (Chicago, Ill.).

The Panthers took a bite out of the Concordia lead with a 3-0 run.

Connor Peterson stopped the skid with a goal off a pass from Keijo Day.

The Falcons opened the final frame with a pair of goals from Ryan LeFebvre and Keijo Day.

Hanover cut the lead to 9-7, but the Falcons pulled away with goals from junior Joseph Peterson (Saukville, Wis.) and Donovan Harper.

Sophomore Noah Brandt (Owatonna, Minn.) gobbled up eight of CUW's 28 ground balls on Saturday.

Sophomore Adam Nichols (Meridian, Idaho) collected four saves in the victory.

CUW looks to keep the ball rolling on Wednesday against Carthage.
